![]() Felix Eyle (Teacher)
![]() A picture of my college violin teacher Mr. Felix Eyle holding his legendary Guadagnini violin that belonged to Mahler's niece, Alma Rose. Mr. Eyle's violin teacher was Arnold Rose, Alma's father. Mr Rose was the concertmaster of the Berlin Opera Orchestra and first violinist of the famous Rose Quartet. Mr Eyle was first violinist of the Buxbaum Quartet, later became assistant concert master of the Cleveland Orchestra and then concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
